Eastern Pressure Records is an independent record label that started life out in 1998. Originally set up to house releases by the labels founder, producer & deejay Juttla, the label soon grew into not only showcasing Juttla’s talents but also that of many other genre-breaking creative artists such as Sticky Digits, Charged and many more. As well signing artists to our label we also work with various artists who have done us very recordings to release, and some of the artists on who have featured on Eastern Pressure have also had releases on Sony/BMG, Universal, Hooj Choons, 4YK, Metalheadz, Renegade Hardware, Bassbin, Foundation X and more.
Eastern Pressure Records is a label that releases music from various genres, including drum’n’bass, dubstep, breakz and more. Opting for ‘quality over quantity’ and over the years this has led to support from numerous tastemakers. Releases on the label have been supported by a wide range of DJ’s including BBC Radio One’s Bobby Friction, Nihal, Mary Anne Hobbs, as well as Tom Robinson on BBC Radio Six. Eastern Pressure also has a strong following from numerous club deejays and pirate/internet radio stations across the world.
The catalogue on the label has also been licensed to various compilation albums on record labels such as ZYX, Ministry Of Sound, RGS Music Group, Shaanti Play Records, Asian Electronica, Decadance, Wolftown Recordings, UK Runnings, OYM Records and more. We have also had our catalogue used in TV & Film, as well as educational school documentaries, the most popular being the two tracks that where used in Hugh’s Fish Fight series on Channel 4.
